Hi, I’m Ivey
I’m proud to be a Kansas City based artist. My mission is to seek out opportunities centered around painting and teaching others how to paint.
In my artistic journey, I find myself captivated by the vibrant tapestry of local wildlife and the profound connections they foster within our shared ecosystem. Through the canvas, I endeavor to encapsulate the essence of these creatures, breathing life into their forms through a symphony of bold colors and expressive strokes.
My paintings serve as a celebration of the inherent beauty found in nature, each brushstroke a testament to the awe-inspiring diversity of life that surrounds us. By employing vivid hues and bold marks, I seek to convey not just the physical presence of these creatures, but also the vitality and spirit that defines them.
Furthermore, I delve into the realm of symbolism, infusing my work with layers of meaning associated with my chosen subjects. Whether it be the resilience of a soaring eagle or the delicate balance of a butterfly’s flight, each animal embodies profound narratives that resonate deeply with our human experience.
Through my art, I invite viewers to immerse themselves in a world where the boundaries between reality and imagination blur, where the majesty of nature is laid bare for all to behold. It is my hope that through this visual exploration, we may cultivate a deeper appreciation for the wonders that surround us and a renewed commitment to preserving the precious ecosystems that sustain life on our planet.
I studied Painting and Art Education at the University of Central Missouri. I currently own and operate a private art school, A to Z Artistry, in Lee’s Summit with my business partner.
I frequently have work on display across Central Missouri open to the public at various venues ranging from curated spaces within small businesses to solo exhibitions at larger prolific galleries.
